In our first article, we highlighted the Gemini qualities of being social, intelligent but also at times topical. We want to take a moment to add a little more depth to the character of Gemini. An archetype that comes to mind when we think of Gemini is the Roman deity Janus. Janus was the two-faced God looking in opposite directions. Symbolic of beginnings, transitions, doorways, gates, and endings. If we can take the negative association out of the terminology of being ‘two-faced’, in this context, we could attach positive attributes to the Twins of Gemini simply because of their dual nature. The duality of Gemini gives them a unique perspective—or many perspectives. Whereas some of the other zodiac signs may fall flat in expanding their minds, Gemini can clearly see the negatives, the positives, the black, and the white and therefore being one person, could successfully find a very compassionate middle ground. We should look to our Gemini friends like we would reach for Janus. For the one side of the personality of Gemini, it enhances their ability to concentrate and strengthens their mental abilities by increasing and supporting analytical thinking.
